October – WOW!!!

October was a busy month for Biccies, all the planning for Bluewater’s festive food fair had to be finalised, furniture had to be sourced for the stand and packaging and ingredients had to be sourced for the Biccies themselves.

At the same time I had to decide how many Biccies I needed to make and of which type. Obviously there has to be a Christmas theme so we decided on some baubles, letters to Santa ,snowmen, christmas trees and a very cute Rudolph, among other things.

In the middle of all of that, on October 26th Biccies  was identified by Jacqueline Gold, Chief Executive of Ann Summers, as being worthy of her #WOW award. She said “I love giving gifts and these edible greetings look delicious. Fantastic website too!

Biccies wins a #WOW award

WOW, Women on Wednesday, is a Twitter based award, every Wednesday Jacqueline invites women to tweet her with their business details, she reviews them and chooses her favourite three. It gave us a real lift here at Biccies to hear we’d been selected by such an inspirational businesswoman. We eagerly await to hear whether we will be one of the lucky three businesses that she takes for a business lunch at the Ivy in London. She will choose her favourite winners from 2011 and we really hope to be one of them.

Thanks Jacqui
